Abhishek Lodha and Abhinandan Lodha have formally ended their legal dispute over the use of the Lodha brand name. In a joint statement issued on Monday, April 14, 2025, both sides confirmed they had reached a mutual settlement through mediation under the guidance of their parents. The agreement comes into effect immediately and settles all pending legal claims between the two groups.
As per the terms, Macrotech Developers Limited will have exclusive rights to use the names "Lodha" and "Lodha Group," while Abhinandan will continue using the "House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL)" brand. Both entities will fully own and operate under their respective brand names, with no further overlap in branding or communication.
The agreement also confirms that Macrotech Developers and HoABL will operate as entirely separate businesses. Each party will publicly communicate this independence, and neither will have any rights or claims over the other's companies or ventures. This brings to a close a conflict that began in January 2025, when Macrotech filed a lawsuit seeking ₹5,000 crores in damages, alleging misuse of its brand name by HoABL and its partners.
The resolution follows a mediation process led by retired Supreme Court judge Justice R V Raveendran, appointed by the Bombay High Court. Both sides expressed gratitude to Justice Raveendran and Justice Arif Doctor, as well as family elders, for their support in facilitating the resolution. With all legal cases now withdrawn, no further statements will be made on the matter, the companies said.
