SAMHI Hotels Limited is a hotel development and investment company focused on operating internationally branded hotels across key Indian cities. Incorporated on December 28, 2010, the Company was listed on the NSE and BSE on September 22, 2023, and is headquartered in New Delhi with a corporate office in Gurugram. As of FY 2025, SAMHI is among India’s largest multi-branded hotel owners by inventory, with a portfolio of 32 operating hotels and 4,948 keys across 14 key cities, partnered with global operators such as Marriott, Hyatt and IHG. Its business model centres on acquiring underperforming or undervalued assets, renovating and rebranding them under leading brands to improve occupancy, rates and profitability.
The Company operates exclusively in India and has no non-current assets outside the country. Key demand hubs include Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and NCR, with presence also mapped in Greater Noida, Jaipur, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata. SAMHI deploys a proprietary analytics platform, “SiD”, to integrate operational and financial data for asset-level decision-making and portfolio benchmarking. As on March 31, 2025, the Company had 16 wholly owned subsidiaries (including step-down subsidiaries).
Key milestones include early investments by global institutions (2011–2015), acquisition of the Hyatt Regency, Pune (2016), buyout and rebranding of the Barque Hotels portfolio to Holiday Inn Express (2017), acquisition of the Premier Inn portfolio (2017), acquisition of the ACIC portfolio and public listing with a Rs 12,000 mn primary capital raise (2023), a management agreement with Marriott to convert the ACIC portfolio to a managed model (2024), and a strategic partnership with GIC alongside marquee acquisitions in Bangalore and Hyderabad (2025).
