Asahi India Glass Limited (AIS) operates as one of India’s leading integrated glass and window solutions company which serves automotive and architectural and consumer markets through complete services from float manufacturing to processing and design and fabrication and installation and after-sales support. The company started its operations in 1987 through a joint venture between the Labroo family and Asahi Glass Co. Ltd. (now AGC Inc.) and Maruti Udyog Limited (now MSIL) after its establishment in 1984. The company operates as a publicly traded entity on BSE and NSE stock exchanges.

 

The company maintains operations throughout India while exporting to more than seven countries during FY 2024-25 when exports reached 1.6% of total revenue. The company operates through 14 domestic plants and 6 national offices which serve all 28 states and 8 union territories across the country. The company operates three main manufacturing facilities which produce 8.8 million laminated pieces and 7 million car sets (tempered) and 2,150 TPD of float glass capacity.

 

The company offers automotive glazing solutions including laminated windshields and tempered side and rear glass and sunroofs and advanced products like UV-cut/IR-absorbing sidelites and HUD windshields as well as architectural products including Ecosense and AIS Opal and Sunshield and mirrors and designer glass and AIS Windows (uPVC and aluminium)  . The company leads the Indian passenger car market with 75% market dominance through its five automotive manufacturing sites and four advanced warehouse and sub-assembly facilities.

 

The company operates through six unlisted subsidiaries according to its March 31 2025 financial records.
