Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL) is an integrated iron ore and metals company with operations anchored in Maharashtra. Its flagship iron ore mine is at Surjagarh village, Gadchiroli district, supported by DRI (sponge iron) and captive power facilities at Ghugus (Chandrapur district) and Konsari (Gadchiroli district) . The Company’s existing iron ore capacity is 10 MNT, with planned expansion to 25 MNT and a beneficiation throughput of 45 MNT. It is also progressing a 1.2 MNT wire rod mill and a 3 MNT HR coils facility, alongside slurry pipelines of 85 kms and 195 kms to strengthen logistics integration . LMEL’s mine holds JORC-compliant proven reserves of 863 MNT (DSO 157 MNT; BHQ 706 MNT) with the mine lease valid till 2057 . LMEL engages in iron ore mining, sponge iron manufacturing (DRI), captive power generation and pellet trading, and is expanding into steel (wire rods and HR coils) with an integrated value chain approach . Its operations are designed to enable sustainable, efficient delivery of value-added steel products across the steelmaking value chain .
