GMR Airports Limited (formerly GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited) designs, builds and operates airports in India and overseas. The Hon’ble NCLT sanctioned the merger of erstwhile GMR Airports Limited and GMR Infra Developers Limited into the Company on June 11, 2024; the Scheme became effective on July 25, 2024, and the Company’s name was changed to GMR Airports Limited on September 11, 2024. As part of GMR Group, the Company highlights that GMR Group is the largest private airport operator in Asia, with a portfolio that includes Delhi, Hyderabad and Goa in India and an overseas footprint through partnerships and joint ventures.
What the Company does: GAL provides aeronautical services (e.g., landing, parking, passenger service fees, UDF) and non‑aeronautical services (e.g., rentals, trade concessions, ground handling and cargo handling). It also earns from commercial property development, management and other services, and investment income . Through GMR Air Cargo and Aerospace Engineering Limited, it operates a large third‑party Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) business; the Group is also developing “Aerocity” airport cities around Delhi and Hyderabad.
Geographies covered: In FY 2024‑25, airports operated by GAL handled 120.6 Million passengers across Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa and Medan (Indonesia). In India, the Company handled 113.4 Million passengers, with a 25.8% share of all‑India domestic traffic and 34.6% of all‑India international traffic . Overseas interests include Indonesia (Kualanamu International Airport through PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi) and Greece (Heraklion Crete International Airport S.A.) via joint ventures/associates .

Overseas portfolio actions: GAIBV transferred the remaining 33% stake in Cebu (AGMCAC) on October 30, 2024; it also divested its 50% stake in MGCJV Inc.
Financing and capital structure: GAL raised Rs 1,500 crore via three‑year non‑convertible bonds; KIA FCCBs were converted, extinguishing significant contingent liabilities; GHIAL started upstreaming profits in FY 2025.
Proposed fund raise: Board approval on August 21, 2025 to raise up to Rs 5,000 crore through QIP/FCCB/other eligible securities, subject to approvals; proposed securities to be listed on stock exchanges where the shares are listed.
